But how did the medics not freak out about the… well, you know… the… quite, er… unorthodox anatomy of the patient? I’m pretty sure a medic would spot a stomac-mouth, right? Or does it just look like a big scar when closed?
And I’m sure he at least got an X-Ray, no? Okay, okay, I’m going to willingly suspend that disbelief until the next page.
The stomach-mouth’s insides are not connected to Ed’s insides. Ed’s insides look perfectly normal until you look through the stomach-mouth, and who’s gonna do that?
Why is that this comment explains more about the thing than the whole comic? I’m torn between approval and discontent 😐

I don’t view that comment as anything resembling a spoiler or I wouldn’t have written it. If I have time to do a Vol. 2 I should probably write a “This is What We Know So Far” sort of scene.
