Here’s What Happened 20
I call him Deadward.
So. I’ve been building up to this for a while. I first tried drawing this page about six or seven years ago, before I ever planned on making this into a comic.
I had a lot that I was going to write for this page, but I think it’ll be better if I just let it sit on its own.
On a side note, I first read about Slenderman four years ago, so there might be something to the Collective Unconscious theory.

In moments like this, I’m really glad that I read this comic in periods. Because now I can see what’s going to happen and not have to go to bed with… “Deadward Tentaclestomach…mouth”.
…so. You know, it took me a good minute or two to realize that “Deadward” was a pun on Edward. I just sort of instinctively took it seriously, like some sort of over-the-top doom name in the same vein as many Godzilla names, and read the words separately and as a concept like ‘dead ward’–>’dead guardian’ or something…? *facepalm*
